How many CPD hours does the Royal College of Surgeons England require?
RCS England expects a minimum of 50 CPD credits per year for surgeons in active practice, with a rolling 250 credits over five years for revalidation. This tool preloads RCS England, RCP London, RCOA and RCOphth minima so you can see your position against each at a glance.
Is my CPD data private?
Yes. Every entry is stored in your browser's localStorage only. Nothing is uploaded, no account is required, and closing the tab keeps your data on your device.
Can I export my log for an appraisal or revalidation cycle?
Yes. The 'Download PDF Report' button renders a print-ready view with every activity, category, date and hour value, suitable for appraisal evidence or ARCP submission.
Do you support Royal Colleges beyond the four preloaded ones?
The four preloaded templates cover the largest surgical, medical, anaesthetic and ophthalmic bodies. You can still log hours in custom categories today; bespoke templates for RCGP, RCPCH, FPH and others are available on request.
